I wanted to read Bleed Blue 69 for a number reasons ranging from it had a few of my favorite authors and I love a man in uniform, especially a blue one, all the way to it's for a good cause. And it took awhile, but I read all 25 of those stories and they were all excellent. I just really enjoyed reading this anthology!

I'll admit that I thought the stories would mostly be smutty, sexy and easy, but they were so much more. Some had mystery, some had heartache, and a good number were heartwarming. They're really short stories and while there where ones that left me satisfied, there were others that left me hungry for more.

Bleed Blue 69 is an anthology made up of many different parts. There are HEAs, happy-for-nows, and some cliffhangers and trust me, I will definitely be keeping a look out for more of those tales that left me needing more. Even with all that though, I loved reading Bleed Blue 69, and it is definitely worth everything.

Before I start my review I have to give kiddos to the authors for this very aptly named Anthology, the very fitting, sexy cover and the fact that the proceeds are going for a very good cause.
I had the opportunity to read Lifeline by Alexis Alvarez and I really enjoyed it. It was sexy and fun and the chemistry between Olivia and Luc was off the charts.
If this is what I have to look forward to with the other stories in this anthology, I can't wait to get this book on my kindle!!

*I received an ARC from the author for voluntary review.

Bleed Blue 69: Reality Calls by Jenni Moen is a short story about a police officer named Luke who gets…well, what else of course? A reality call. He’s excited to see Sierra, a woman he’s been seeing who’s coming to spend some time with him for the holidays but what he doesn’t know is that she has a bit of a surprise for him but she’s not the only one. Luke isn’t really ready for the changes that are coming his way but he either has to embrace them or run from them but they won’t be going away anytime soon. Luke is afraid because he knows that at any time that he walks out his door that it could be that he’s not coming back…it’s reality but for now he has a lot to live for.
This is a very short story so I can’t really tell you too much without basically telling you the WHOLE story and well, I don’t want to ruin it for you so I’ll just say this…it’s a good story and I really enjoyed it. The fact that it is also in essence a branch off of another story by Jenni Moen is a plus. It’s short, sweet and left me wanting more to be honest so I hope that she writes more about Luke and Sierra so that we can find out what happens next with them as they take this journey that they are now on. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who is either a fan of Jenni Moen, likes stories about police officers or is just a fan of sweet romance stories.

I read Lisa's book "My Beating Heart" and if the rest of the stories are as entertaining then this collection is a winner. With all proceeds going to a good cause it is regardless.
I enjoyed this short tale of the cop and his K9 partner, the promise of a happy ending in love. He rescued the damsel in distress and saved the day.
I look forward to the release of this set to read the rest.

I love our Police Officers. They protect and serve, but I'm a woman who loves a man in uniform and lets just say these short stories sent chills down my body. They are all based around Christmas time in NYC. Precinct 69 seems to have the hottest and greatest Men and Women in uniform. 25 Authors came together to bring some really sexy stories for an amazing cause. Now remember they are all connected because they work for Precinct 69, so the names are the same throughout the book.

1. Rookie by M.C. Cerny is about Joey who is a Rookie in the Precinct and Tempest who is a waitress. I loved Joey, not only is he a rookie so he gets the brunt of everything but he is just so darn sweet. He treats Tempest like she is his perfect someone. And Tempest, dang that girl has had it rough. This is such a sweet story.

2. The Roommate Pact by Glenna Maynard is about Fiona and Devlyn. I honestly don't know how i feel about this short story. I think i need more information on this book. I feel like these two have a simmering love that needs an outlet.

3. Reality Calls by Jenni Moen is about Sierra and Luke. This was such a cute story. Luke may have been a player but when it comes to Brooklyn he is a one woman man. I loved Brooklyn she knows how to surprise her man. Such a sweet and unexpected love.

4. A Recipe for Disaster by Vanessa Marie is about Jake and Tessa. Okay Tessa irritated me. Like really you married a police officer, granted it was a quick relationship before marriage but still she had to have known. And Jake man my heart went out to him. He tries not to but takes the job home with him sometimes.

5. Unexpected Bargain by Rochelle Paige this one is about Charlie and Chad. This was such a cute second chance. Well more like a chance to have a future with your young crush. Chad is a sexy police officer who gets a chance to love his crush Charlie.

6. Habeas Corpus by Sarah M. Cradit is about Cian and Kendra. On man this had me on the edge of my seat. Poor Cian he thinks he is cursed. It does kind of seem like that to me but dang it if Kendra is not determined. Kendra is such a strong woman. She made this story.

7. Frostbite by Chelle C. Craze is about Liam and Letha. Awe Liam is so cute. He loves his co worker but doesn't want to jeopardize anything. They have to keep it on the down low. I think Letha loves him also but still wants to keep it quiet. I do want to read this book as a longer version.

8. Lifeline by Alexis Alvarez is a short story about Olivia And Detective Lucian Foster. Okay this book has the celebration of Festivvus, it's from a seen on Seinfeld. Well i don't like that show but darn if this was a sexy story. Lucian has this kinky side that i would love to experience. Alexis is an artist and willing to play along of Lucian.

9. The Mistletoe Secret by Madison Street is about Jake and Dylan. Oh man this short story had my heart in pieces. Poor Jake he had his heart ripped out by Dylan twice. Yeah thats right TWICE. He just keeps coming back for more. But i can say this he is determined to win his love back. And Dylan i don't like her.

10. Unexpected Fairytale by Mary Catherine Gebhard follows Levi a police officer and Gabby the wife of a mobster. Wow, Levi has been fascinated with Gabby since he saw her picture 2 years before. That's commitment. When she needs him he is right there.

11. Off Duty by Kristen Hope Mazzola is about McBee and Whistler. They have been hiding their attraction for each other. Finally Whistler gets some balls to make a move. I totally wish this book was longer. I can see a cat and mouse game going on with these two.

12. Hunter's Revenge by Felicia Tatum os about Adler and Davidson. She wants revenge and he will help her get it. Wow, Charlotte witnessed something horrible and it shaped her to what she is now. Even though Kai gets on her nerves i can totally see a hidden attraction. But Charlotte has a mission to complete first.

13. Crushing Over Canine by Z.B. Heller is about Aaron and Max. Aaron is new to the K-9 taskforce and Max is the one who helps him get to know his new dog. Aaron is also a gay officer and has a crush on Max. I'm not a huge fan of M/M romance but dang this one was hot. The sex scenes alone, Wow.

14. My Beating Heart by Lisa Edward follows Liam and single parent Cassie. This is such a sweet story. Yes it has a little mystery and i was on the edge of my seat. Liam is such a great man. Not only a great Officer but he looks out for his neighbor Cassie. Cassie is a single mom who has a son with special needs. This story has a Dog who is a hero.

15. An Eve to Remember by Brandy L. Rivers is about Eve and Kenji. Not only do these two people have jobs in saving people but their friends have been trying to set them up. I really wish this was a novel and not a short story. I loved Eve and her strong attitude. She kind of has to be being in a male dominated world. Kenji oh Kenji is so darn cute. I loved how he just went along with Eve’s game.

16. Under Cover by Rebecca Brooke follows Jackson and Melanie. Jackson is an undercover cop who just so happens to save Melanie. Jackson is sexy and strong. Not only is an officer but he saves Melanie and i feel he does it in style. Melanie may be a bartender but she knows what she brings to the table. This short story made my heart warm.

17. Lucky Plus One by M. Stratton is about Suzee and Lucky. My heart broke for Suzee with the way her childhood and mother was. She is more determined than ever to have her freedom. That also happens to include a sexy man of the law, Lucky. These two are so cute. I really want a full story about these. My heart was so happy.

18. Red Letter Day by Morgan Jane Mitchell is about Jaks and Ritchie. Jaks is a strong beautiful woman. And well she definitely has to be for on in a male dominated field but also because nowadays no one likes the police. That irritates me, but that's another story. Ritchie is a man who has secretly wanted Jaks since they were at the Academy together. I loved these two. They were on fire.

19. Murphy’s Law by Josie Bordeaux follows Kyle and Lana. Kyle is a Police office who loves working the streets of New York. I loved him instantly. He has this whole plan to show his woman Lana why she needs to move to NYC. But it doesn't go as planned. This boom was humorous and so darn cute. I wanted a Kyle of my own minus the rough patches in his plan.

20. Through Stained Glass by Jami Denise follows Lyssie and Wyatt. This is a book about fate. Oh man i loved everything about this book. This book brought to life a secret fantasy of mine. It was hot sexy and sent my blood on fire. Lyssie is blind to Wyatt and Wyatt has been waiting for Lyssie to show up for a while.

21. Breakfast in Bed by Emerson Shaw is about Aiden and Adela. They both hate the holiday season, well that was until they spent it with each other. Aiden is a police officer and Adela is a waitress. They connect on that and have this sexy i mean sexy sexy time. I loved this story. I would love know more about these two. Especially their backstories.

22. The Right to Remain by Emme Burton follows Miranda and McAtee. Miranda is Captain of her Precinct, she also has a secret that could be scandalous to her career. McAtee just so happens to share her secret and is her new Detective. I loved this book. Absolutely loved it. I felt that they both are living this double life. Not only do they have a deep attraction for each other but they also hold each others secrets.

23. Looking for Trouble by Alexis Noelle follows Dean and Zoe. Dean happens to be a police officer and he thought Zoe was a firefighter. That couldn't have been the farthest from the truth. Dean is one determined man. He will break down Zoe’s walls if it kills him. Zoe to me was a bit whiney. Like really she has this hot guy chasing after her but she just shuts down. I loved Dean though, no matter how Zoe treated him he still came back.

24. Rock N Roll by Kacey Shea is about Officer Gabi Martinez and Austin Banks. Martinez is a female in a male driven world. I can't blame her. It has to be tough for her, and having to deal with Austin Banks can't be easy either. I really wouldn't mind reading more about these two. Not only from Gabi’s perspective as an officer but also from a sexy rock stars POV.

25. Hungover by Katherine Rhodes follows Michael and Esmy. They have a scandalous past, but is it really the past? Oh man these two are fire. You can feel the sexual tension that is just below the surface and it sizzles. I loved how this book showed what happens next with these two and my heart couldn't have bee. Happier.

The reason i love anthologies is because i get a taste of what an author has to offer. If i love the story or author i will go and find more books by them. If i don't then it's no harm done but i still got a feel for the author. Not all authors or stories is for everyone so that's why these are the best. And this Anthology was phenomenal, i know have new authors to check out.

Perfect for a couple of afternoon reads! I'm reviewing for Glenna Maynard's THE ROOMMATE PACT. Fiona and Devlyn are good friends who are about to become roommates and if sexy policeman Devlyn has his way, much more! Fiona admits she's a mess so maybe living with Devlyn is just what she needs to get her life back on track. Unfortunately, this ends in a CLIFFHANGER so we'll have to wait until 2017 for their hopefully happy ending! Told from dual POVs. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this one story BUT I did purchase the book. I wanted to support this great cause because I have several police officers in my own family. This is an awesome collection of short stories from SO many great authors! Perfect for a couple of afternoon reads.

The Best Parts:
I love that this Anthology is more of a compilation. It’s not just that each author has it’s own chapter, but that the characters are intwined with each other. You can’t read one chapter without encountering a character from another chapter. It makes the Precinct 69 so much more of a family.

Some of my favorite stories are:

Habeas Corpus by Sarah M. Cradit

The Mistletoe Secret by Madison Street

Off Duty by Kristen Hope Mazzola

Red Letter Day by Morgan Jane Mitchell

The Right to Remain by Emme Burton

Every single story in this compilation is different, but in the best way possible. Each character stands out in their own special ways, and each story has a different feel to it. Some are light hearted, and some have angst. Some are extremely sexy and some are tame. There is a little bit of something for everyone out there in this amazing Anthology.

Final Thoughts:
This anthology is great in so many ways. These stories aren’t just full of life, but by buying this book you can bring someone a little light to their life. All of the proceeds from this anthology is going to families of fallen officers. Especially in this holiday time, this is something amazing that these authors are doing.
