This book was goddam awful. It didn’t start too bad but things happened way too quickly, characters developing feelings very fast to the point that the mmc was a bit too creepy for my taste.

I swear if I hear “love” one more time I’m going to jump off a cliff, is it necessary to say that in every single sentence?

The story and the characters were plain as white rice. Oh and the spicy scenes… I even skipped them, that says it all lmao.

The team photographer and the star rookie

Nico and Harper had chemistry since the moment they met. So what a surprise when Harper goes to take photos of the players walking in and sees the guy she almost hooked up with walking in. Nico is definitely the type of guy who gets what he wants and what he wants is Harper but she is just starting over after a really bad breakup. Plus when you add in the no dating employees rule in, Harper struggles to deny her feelings for Nico but he won’t let her go that easily.

First, I love the tradition Nico has with his sports tape, the story behind it, it which is Ballsy, and that he keeps it in his guest room. I love Nico’s relationship with his sister, Giana, and how supportive they are of each other. His friendship with Wes is something special for sure. I believe Nico and Harper were made for each other and they both keep each other going. I love that since the first game she at he believes that she’s his good luck charm. He also will literally fight for her. They have such a strong connection and you can really feel it. They make a wonderful and beautiful couple. Now, I hoping that Ava, Wes, and Giana each get a book because they deserve it. This is a wonderful start to the series.

I really didn’t like how Nico responded to the accident

This book was just okay. It's billed as a forbidden romance, but the stakes and tension around that were really low. Like the main characters couldn't be together because of their work's policy, but other than the repeatedly saying that in dialogue, there weren't any scenes that dialed up the stakes.

I had a really good time reading this one. The romance between the two main characters was really adorable and electric and I could feel their feelings for each other through the screen which I always loved. I just loved all of the tension between them and all of their little interactions, everything just felt so organic and full of chemistry and I loved it.

I loved how he falls first and harder and is ready to do everything to get his girl. I always loved a devoted main character and Nico was just so good at that.

Everything about this book just really worked for me and this was just a fun read.

This was a super fast read. Perfect for a little beach/pool day if you love hockey romances.
It had workplace, forbidden romance with he falls first tropes - and when I say he falls first, I mean he falls hard and fast! But it was very cute and sweet. My husband could take some pointers
