My husband put hockey on so it was only fitting that I read a hockey romance. The reviews weren’t the best for this one but I wanted to give it a try anyways and I’m glad I did! Harper meets Nico at a club and they have a hot and steamy moment in the club VIP lounge closet. Fast forward to Harper starting her new job as a photographer for a NHL team and guess who’s on the team? You guessed it, Nico. When I tell you he fell for this girl from the start I’m not kidding. I wasn’t expecting him to be so smitten with her and honestly I welcomed it. Even though the over use of him calling her “love” was a bit excessive. Harper is very standoff-ish with him because this job means everything to her and she knows she could lose it if she’s with Nico. There is a lot of sneaking around and some super steamy scenes. I loved the pacing of this book and the characters were fun. It’s a cute, steamy read!

Starting to realize that maybe I don’t like romance as much as I used to... especially if it’s in audiobook format
It was a quick read and while I didn't hate it, I didn't love it either.
the story felt quite familiar and predictable.

It's official, Nico Cirone is my newest book boyfriend! I honestly didn't think I could love any MMC of Cali's more than Hayden King, but she went and proved me wrong.

Easy read. Moves fast. The hockey portions felt mostly believable. The Deaf representation was appreciated too, despite the flawless lip reading abilities that definitely don’t exist in real life. I understood the couples attraction to each other even if it was kinda Insta-love
