It’s definitely a comfort read more than anything, and I can see the fanfic elements present in the book. I thought it was entertaining enough and I know it’ll play out nicely in the upcoming movie adaptation.
That being said, I almost dropped this book multiple times due to Olive. I can’t recall the last time I was so aggravated by a main character like I was with her. So endlessly stupid sometimes that it made me wonder how she was even a scientist in the first place. But whatever, it was for plot purposes I guess.
All in all. Not a terrible book, and the smut elements were also good.
I also have to hand it to the author because I enjoyed how the character dynamics were handled and how mindful every character was within the book.

Really enjoyed this audiobook. Good banter and chemistry. More than just surface level but still fun and not too deep. Just didn’t give 5 star feelings
