Short interlude with a murder. We see a little more into their relationship and get a little more character building.

Another quick update in the annals of investigative report Peter and artist Nick - this time at a winter art festival.
Peter still doesn't know when to stop asking awkward questions which land him in hot - or in this case, cold - water. But he does come across the dead bodies also. The cast of suspects is suitably small, all cozy together in a log cabin.
Peter and Nick still nicely developing along. 3.5*
29.10.17 reread - I did enjoy this again. Nick much more happy and jovial than I have in my head, ot so dour and grumpy! Peter still has his TSTL moments that make him who he is. Suitably chilly and a murderer that comes out of the blue.

I enjoyed this second book in the series more than Primal Red. Peter and Nick feel a lot more real now, to me, than before. The story was pretty funny in parts. And the happy gay hand-holding snowmen couple were too cute. :)
