I was able to get it as an audiobook first, but think it would be helpful to have a physical book to use as a reference.

I’ve listened to her on a few podcasts and the info is the same. I’m not convinced HRT is for everyone but it’s giving menopause more attention which I like.

As a woman entering perimenopause, I've been voraciously reading any material I can get my hands on. I was already familiar with Haver's podcast, but I've been itching to get my hands on her novel for more detailed information. I wasn't disappointed. So. Much. information. Almost too much information. Some of her book wasn't entirely relevant for my particular circumstances, but it was easy enough skip certain parts and move directly to those parts which were more relatable.
This is certainly not the first book I've read concerning menopause, and if you're looking for more of a relatable story, I've recommend something different. This book is very clinical. It's focus is menopause, the symptoms women experience, how to combat those symptoms, all with research, data to support. It goes into detail about the role hormones play in the female body and how hormone therapy is a potential option for some.
I love the immense amount of information given in this book and found it extremely helpful in navigating this new chapter. I do recommend reading the actual hard copy of the book, as the kindle version (what I read) is hard follow if you want to jump around.

This book did a good job at being what it is. The last third of the book is literally a list of perimenopause and menopause symptoms and treatments, which didn't make for the most riveting audiobook listening, but that was more of a format challenge than a flaw of the book.

This took me ages, but I still think of this as one of the most informative and useful books I’ve ever read. Is clear to me that was the author’s intention.
I didn’t realize how little I knew about menopause, which makes me even more happy to have read this book, because my mom and aunt are just getting through it and this has potentially live saving details.
I really do recommend it if you are going through menopause or if you know someone who is, because it truly opens your mind to world of relief in the face of this new chapter of life. There are options to battle the symptoms, even if you’re just starting on this journey.
Great information for women of a certain age, with good facts on how we can navigate our health.
