Worth reading, cleared up some of my misconceptions

Informative for sure, but the basic message is “See a doctor, maybe a lot of doctors, and get ALLLL THE TESTS!” So the upshot is that if you have access to robust and affordable-for-you medical care and whole buncha time, you can manage menopause and perimenopause; otherwise, it will hasten your decline.

Note to self: reread ch 10. It provides a list of symptoms and possible treatments. Symptoms will change and escalate so this will be a helpful reference

While this book is a good reference for modern menopause, it's much of the same information the author shares on her social media. It's heavily focused towards HRT - and explains much more of the modern science of that option. For me, it was much more a skimming book (due to the long chapters on menopause symptoms and management) but appears to be solid information.

Definitely a good introduction and reference book if you’re looking for information. But also quite US focused in terms of doctors and prescriptions that might not work for other countries.

Don’t be dumb. Read this book.
