I didn’t really feel the chemistry between these two characters. I also felt that the heroines actions were very unrealistic at times. This just wasn’t the book for me.

This was my first book by Sophie Jordan but it most certainly won’t be my last! I was pleasantly surprised by this story and couldn’t put it down. And Struan *fans self* what a sexy, alpha hero. I’m immediately picking up book two, because I saw who the main couple is and I’m READY for it!

The vibes were right but I was missing something

CW: Sexual content, dubious consent, violence, medical content (coma), infidelity

This is truly the jump to conclusions mat of romance novels

First--the book was well written. I could see the potential here. But, for my personal preferences, I just didn't like it. It's a "me" thing, as I think many will love the book. But the movie the book is based on grates on my nerves...now. (I used to love it, but honestly, how can the heroine not see the guy she likes is a JERK?! Ugh.)

Anyway, most will like it. I didn't. No harm; no foul. I'll still read others in the series.

Well-written overall but I just didn't particularly care about the romance or the characters.

Based on the title, I went into this book thinking the plot would be just as ridiculous and farfetched as the plot of the classic 90s romcom of similar title starring Sandra Bullock and I was not wrong. That having been said though, I’ve always had a soft spot for that movie and therefore enjoyed this book. However, if not for me being a big nostalgic softie, I probably would have hated it.
