Well, that sad and awful and sweet and heartwarming all at the same time. As soon as I read this story was going to be about Matthew going back and helping his friends, I knew I was gonna have a hard time with it. Matthew's story just breaks my heart.

What Matthew and Max did for those boys was so sweet, and I loved this little story. It's my favorite of all the shorts thus far.

Was it a little cheesy with it's 'Christmas Carol-esq' happy ending? Sure. Did I care? Not at all.

Loved this one. Now it's on to book 9.

A good Christmas story in the traditional ghost of Christmas Past style. Fun read.

I love Jodi's Christmas stories and this one is perfection! I loved this sweet story with Max and Matthew that may have caused a bit of dust to get in my eyes. ;)

These shorts really complement the books. If you're going to read only one, then read this one! (but only in order or you'll be spoiled)

right, that's it. I'm all out of St Mary's books to read. Now I'm going to have to wait until April for the next one. O how I wish I had a Pod so that I could go and download significant books in contemporary time. Or something like that.

Christmas Past concentrates on Max and Matthew, and develops their relationship. Not all lovely reading, but a significant chapter for our favourite historian and her son.

A St. Mary's take on a Christmas classic.

Muppets is still the best version though.
