I’m loving this book!
This book is exactly what I have been looking for. The twist aren’t as predictable as most books seem to be.

This book started out rough with the bullying.
By the end we see Bryce get his head out of his ass and the rest of the boys is coming around.
I really like the plot happening. It’s definitely the beginning to something bigger.

Wicked Gods by Michelle Hercules was my first read by this author and exactly what I needed! I don't know about you, but when I'm stressed or going through a difficult time, there are certain subgenres of romance that I reach for. This book happens to incorporate two of them. It's a paranormal, reverse harem, bully romance, and I enjoyed every minute of it!
Daisy is a Norm which means she is on the bottom rung of society with no preternatural abilities. To make matters worse, her parents were murdered right in front of her eyes leaving her to fend for herself at a young age. She also has a little sister to take care of, and being a norm makes that extremely difficult.
Daisy's job as a waitress barely covers the bills, and just when she thinks her and her sister are going to get kicked out of their residence for lack of rent, someone offers her the chance of a lifetime, a scholarship to attend Gifted Academy. She'll have to quit her job and reside on the school premise, but her sister will be able to remain in their home due to the money from the scholarship. Going to this school is her best shot at doing better in life and keeping a roof over her sister's head, so she can't turn down the opportunity.
Why would she want to turn down the opportunity anyway? Well, Norms don't attend Gifted Academy. Idols do. Idols are the members of society descended from gods that possess supernatural abilities. Most of them have little regard for norms and treat them poorly. They see norms as less than them in every way.
Because of that, Daisy expected bullying to some degree, but four boys in particular, Rufio, Bryce, Morpheus, and Phoenix, set out to make her time there a living hell. They want her gone immediately, but Daisy doesn't scare easily. She knows what graduating from the academy can do for her, and she's not going anywhere.
Wicked Gods held my attention from the first chapter to the last! Michelle Hercules' writing is captivating, and I honestly never got the urge to put the book down at all once I started reading. The world she created is interesting and intriguing, too. I loved learning about the Norms, Fringes, and Idols and the way they interact with each other. The boys and Daisy have great chemistry and banter, and there is a good bit of mystery involved in this story which just made it even better.
The book ended on a cliffhanger that made me want to pick up the next book immediately. It's not out yet though, so I have to wait. Thankfully I won't have to wait long! Book 2 is coming soon!

AHHHHHHH. I was hooked, couldn’t put the book down Lmao I didn’t realize this was reverse harem until like half way through but the plot is on point and the characters are very likeable.
Daisy is my bbg
Bryce is bae
I’m excited to be smitten with the rest
Phoenix deserves better, I did not see that coming tbh

fantastic book!
The plot was fast paced and kept me reading long past my intended reading time. The audio narration was spot on too. The guys voice is different to most Ive heard and that added to the experience. I’m racing to the next one now

Interesting
There are so many layers here to unpack and I can't wait to read more. The bullying isn't too bad and the cultural stuff is really interesting.
