Review after finishing the series:
This series starts off so well, and for two books it's exciting and fun... until it isn't anymore. The books get worse and worse until there are literal sentences (maybe a paragraph if lucky) used to describe huge key events in the last 10% of the story before we move on to the next thing that's happening. The ending was so unsatisfying because it just happens and that's it.
I also hated that the main character was embarrassed about her relationship with all four guys. I thought it would end after one or two books and she'd be proud and unafraid to even be affectionate with them publicly but she's embarrassed even through the entire fourth book, including calling herself a whore or a slut for it. Why write reverse harem and make your character hate it? And if you read reverse harem for the reason I read reverse harem, well, this won't do it for you I promise. The ONE scene was.....meh.
Also istg I've never seen a character cry so much.
Anyway, this first book was great. The second book was great. The next two weren't. The side characters are what I kept reading for, especially the ones from Hawk City that were given their own series. Will probably read theirs later.

Will review after book 2.
4.5 stars
Pretty good, super interesting world, fleshed out characters, and a pretty intriguing plot.
Knocked off half a star for cliche, flat girl bullies. They always seem to be written as bitchy whores in order to make the MC look good. It'd be nice if they were more complex than simply just being mean and shallow. It's like they're a hive mind and share one personality.
I don't like bully books, but lately since the bully academy fad in RH i've been forced to read more of them while waiting for other genres to come out. For this type of RH, it's pretty good.

In this world there are Idols (those with power and being in the bloodline of demigods), Fringes (people with some level of power but no where near that of an Idol), and Norms (those with no power). This story mainly follows Daisy, Bryce, Rufio, Phoenix, and Morpheus. With Daisy being a Norm and the other four Idols. After their parents are killed by Idols, Daisy and her sister Rosie run away to try and survive. Seven years later, Daisy is working in a diner when she antagonizes the four Idols above. When she finds herself approached with a scholarship to attend the Gifted Academy (a school mainly for Idols and Fringes), the four Idols who also attend the school vow to drive her away even as they feel inexplicably drawn to her.
This was better than I expected and I’m not even sure what I expected! It’s definitely entertaining and I find myself wanting more detail about the powers of the Idols and Fringes which this didn’t get into too much. There is some bullying elements but not as much as I was prepared for. Some steam, but not overboard! I’ll definitely continue with the series to see how it pans out.

I enjoyed this book. It was different from other books and the plot was interesting. Very steamy. I would recommend

It was ok, honestly something to read if you’re bored. Doesn’t have a wow factor but I am a fan of hierarchy and academies combined so I don’t mind. Tho I did feel like I wasn’t able to see Daisy’s personality completely. Idk, like felt she was a little overhyped by the guys but we’ll see in the next book.
Daisy goes to the academy and is bullied by 2 brothers and his friends in order for a plan to be put into action!
