So I'm not normally a contemporary romance fan but THIS! This was absolutely precious. Funny, emotional, steamy and so very sweet.

Characters: 10/10
I loved the two leads, Miller and Demitri were unique and had their own voices. I liked that they both had insecurities to work through, and that the other person didn't "fix" them, just helped them grow themselves.

Atmosphere: 7/10
The author created a really realistic environment, I just like a little more world building, even "real world" settings.

Writing: 9/10
Really easy to read, made me laugh and cry. Both perspectives felt different too, which was great.

Plot: 9/10
Really sweet, low stakes plot. Excellent.

Intrigue: 8/10
As this was a very fluffy feel good romance, the stakes weren't very high. I was reading because I enjoyed, less so because I was on the edge of my seat.

Logic: 9/10

Entertainment: 10/10
I really enjoyed this, literally squealing at the end. Glad I picked this up!

Ok firstly wow huge warning on negative body thinking, terrible self-esteem, and fatphobia. This was way more triggering than I expected going in. Still a funny lighthearted read, but those body image issues really reminded me of some negative thoughts I used to have. It is NOT the trans character who has these body image issues.

It would have been nice to see some more character development. The exposition at the end was a lot of telling instead of showing, and it also felt like it was undermining what we saw in the books. The line about having to love yourself first is kind of moot seeing as that's not what happened here. It was also weird that their childhood kept being mentioned, but not why it's relevant. They're 40 years old.

The two of them are very sweet and supportive of each other. That was nice to see.
