Another great volume! I loved getting to see

Maomao go home and interact with her guardian, the brothels, and friends of hers

. I also adored the depictions of

Jinshi reacting to Maomao's homecoming

; it was just as funny in the manga as it was in the anime! I love seeing their relationship develop and grow. Definitely one of my favorite chunks of the story. Can't wait for the next volume!

Maomao is one busy apothecary. The poisons seem to flow freely in this manga. But that also keeps the story moving rapidly. In addition to interesting characters, I really like the pace of this manga. Very glad I have multiple volumes to read in quick succession.
