This is the third of the "Eerie - on - Sea Mysteries" for children. We learn a little more about the hero, Herbert Lemon, as he and his friend Violet, try to solve the secret of the Shadowghast. This is a great, imaginative story, with a few creepy moments. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I enjoyed Malamander and Gargantis, the previous two. I look forward very much to the next book.
My thanks to #NetGalley and #Walker books for the ARC in return for an honest review.

This is one of my favourite children's series and in this story we find out more about Herbie and the mysteries of Eerie-on-Sea. Having enjoyed his Malamander and Gargantis, Thomas Taylor's next creation, the sinister Shadowghast, is just as good and there are some quite creepy moments as a result. The story itself is just like the previous two in that it's a well plotted adventure with great characters and a hugely imaginative setting. It was really enjoyable and i can't wait for the next in the series.
My thanks to #NetGalley and Walker Books for the ARC in return for an honest review.

Read- October 2021 for Magical Hopathon, Scary Readathon, Fantasy Fall Reads and Raedathon
- I had a really strong feeling that this third book would get the full 5 stars from me and I am so happy that I was right.

The atmosphere is still just as good and i love Herbie but the plot was not my favorite this time around.
