It’s great, I still don’t like Frodo though. He was less insufferable than in the fourth book, but that was honestly because his behavior could be excused more often with the corruption from the ring.

He was still only a burden throughout the whole journey, didn’t do anything useful between him splitting off from the fellowship and dying, while constantly being shitty to Sam even when not under the ring’s influence.

Thought it was weird, that Frodo's Mind seemed no longer affected, after the ring was destroyed, but Bilbo's was.

Found it funny, when it was mentioned, how Sam could read the Red Book to the kids, because I had to picture him reading Mao to young hobbits. Liked the ending.

I was struggling to read the slow pace, so I switched to the audiobook and highly recommend! Andy Serkis does a phenomenal job narrating.

Wonderful story, with great virtues like courage, faithfulness, and loyalty on display throughout. Once you’ve read it, it will never really leave you. Sad to have finished, until the next read-through!
