“There's something about first love, isn't there? It's untouchable to those who played no part in it. But it's the measure of all that follows...
Tin Man made me ache with nostalgia of the times we wish to remember and those we try to forget. It is an exquisite study of life, loss, beauty, pain, friendship, and love.
“And I wonder what the sound of a heart breaking might be. And I think it might be quiet, unperceptively so, and not dramatic at all. Like the sound of an exhausted swallow falling gently to earth.”
I initially bought this based on the beautiful paperback cover. I had little idea of what was in store for me. However, I was quickly captivated by the sorrowful simplicity and savored every page of this delicious, heart-wrenching novel.
“I've missed you, he says.
In my chest, the sound of an exhausted swallow falling gently to earth.”

I can see why so many people people have raved about this book, it just didn’t have the same impact on me. But it is beautiful
