Let’s start the summer reading season off with a classic Ready to Read book.

While most children aren’t going to able to relate to having a nanny, a chauffeur, and an RV all to themselves for summer vacation, for early readers, this book is a fantabulous short primer in national landmarks and really, the whole Eloise series. While the series of books about a mischievous little rich girl who lives in the room of the tippy top floor of The Plaza Hotel in New York City is a bit dated it still promises to be a fun, if retro, summer read for kids and parents (grandparents?). After all, kids will be kids in any generation.
