This book is like if the hunger games had guns and was way gorier. It’s a long book and it’s a bit of a slow start, but trust me when I say it is worth it by the end!

This was fun! With gory twists and turns, emotional moments, and quite some tense scenes. There were a few times where I felt they were dragging it out, but mostly I really enjoyed the story and wanted to keep reading to find out what happens next. Recommended for those that like an action-packed book and aren’t too squeamish (because truly, the descriptions are graphic)

Absolutely riveting, gruesome dystopian literature from Japan. This is a novel that has stayed with me ever since finishing it. Each year, a random class of seventh-year students is selected by lottery to compete in the Battle Royale. The kids are forced to kill one another until one survivor remains.
IMHO: Skip the manga version completely. It doesn't get any better than this.
