If you loved the Four Bears Construction Series, you will love the beginning of this new series, as they make appearances. Steele owns the local auto repair shop, while Porter is the new Vet. Both men are extremely busy with all that it takes to own your own business. Steele's employees are friends with the men of the Four Bears Construction and so is Porter. Loved this book! Can't wait for rest of the series.

Well, this was fun. A nice, fun, easy read with low angst (though we do haver a side plot with one of the main character's brother having a medical condition, but that's kinda swept aside as he and the lead's best friend are the couple in the next book...), but touches on opposite attract, friends to lover (though there's an instant connection), both characters have issues with work/life balance and friends who are supportive and yet have humour of teenagers.

You can tell this is the first book in a spin-off series from Four Bear Construction series (Starting with [b:Caulky|50715079|Caulky (Four Bears Construction, #1)|K.M. Perfect to ease self out of a reading slump (though am certain am still in its depths.).

It was sweet

Definitely a sweet start to the series. Porter's insecurities are understandable and loved how their relationship was based on comfort and not on angst.

Some of the dialogue just doesn’t seem like the way anyone would talk. Idk. I  got annoyed with the mc’s. Steele kept lying (he hadn’t worried about Porter calling him. Lies. He wasn’t gonna ask him on a date he wants to fix up porters grandpas car. Sounds like a lie after they just kissed. But Steeles a pussy.). I don’t actually know that the second one is a lie it just seemed like one and it was the last straw honestly. Also why is there no description of Porter other than him wearing glasses and looking nerdy? What are his hair and eye color? His skin color?
