This is an amazing book. It is one of the most confusing clever things I have ever read. When you think one thing another thing occurs and the fact that it all happens within a week in just incredible. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, although at some points it is quite disturbing and gory. Linwood Barclay is one of my favourite authors due to reading this and No Time For Goodbye. A great read.

This is the second book I've read by Linwood Barclay and he's quickly becoming one of my favorites. His mysteries are realistic, his characters are relatable, and the writing is smart. Just when I thought things were getting predictable, Barclay threw in a twist that completely surprised me, but still so believable it made me mad I hadn't seen it coming. I can't wait to read another of his books!

Another solid book by this author - he's very good at taking ordinary people and putting them in extraordinary circumstances and some rise to the occasion and some don't. This story of a man whose wife is killed in a car accident drags through the middle as it becomes a bit repetitive - how many paragraphs really need to be devoted to "I can't believe she's gone and it's so unlike her; she would never do THAT (avoid spoiler)." But it did pick up and have a satisfying conclusion. Okay for a quick summer read.
