Well this one was impressive when compared to the previous five books in the "First Colony" series. Very fun story and it stayed consistent with the previous book (singular). I'm just going to have to trust that the author has his timeline down correctly and that I'm the one who is wrong about the time between events in the first book and in this one. I don't even recall any errors a copy editor would catch, and nothing much for an editor to have Lozito work on this time around.
Pretty solid book, a fast read, and a fun story. But definitely a 'tweener, despite having its on beginning, middle and end. This book follows fairly closely after the previous book and looks like it heads right into the next.
In comparison to the other books in this series I wanted to give this one 4 stars, but compared to other books I've read, that 4 stars would be totally unwarranted. So I settled upon giving it 3 stars instead.
