From school friends and best friends to a second chance at love.
Nate and Tyler came from different socioeconomic backgrounds - one from a family of means and the other from the wrong side of the tracks. Factor in a family member - a parent - who is homophobic and only worried about appearances. Driving a wedge between them caused a lot of damage.
A summer return trip to Port Dale reconnects Nate and Tyler. Unfortunately, it wasn't for leisure. Nate's grades were bad in college. It seems his father had a heavy hand in everything. Including choosing where he should be educated and the end result is grim.
Their chance meeting shows they are still in lust and love. Too bad Nate's dad still does not know he is gay and intent on seeing Tyler, again.
Unexpected trouble forces secrets to come to the surface. Can long term true love really conquer all?

3.8 stars.. A good start to the book as both characters return home for the summer. Its a case of hidey go seek as Nate tries to evade his protectors or his jail keepers. But there's also bad guys after him too. I wanted to love this one I enjoyed Elliott and Clay's brief banter at the start but it kinda killed it for me with the narrate in between (don't know if it was just me)This review is hard to sum up my thoughts in regards to scenes, some are great where as others just so so.
Includes Bi-sexual character, second chances, first love, danger, and more.
Tyler 21 is back home for the summer from school.
Nathaniel was the Majors son back home and under the thumb as father was up for elections.

Another fun Port Dale entry
That was fun, it was great to see Clay and Elliott again and catch up with a now adult Tyler.
I really loved the found family element of this book. Tyler has been living with the two men since his mother's sad death.
But they've been looking after him since he risked his own life to help Clay save Elliott back in their book.
He's grown up into a lovely young man and here he gets his own happy ending as he reconnects with his first love Nathaniel.
