This book needs editing… some of the english slang did not make sense & Joah’s POV at times was actually painful to read. We get it, he’s from Manchester. But some of the phrases he uses aren’t even Mancunian and were so overused it made it SO difficult to read.

I really enjoyed the story however, even if Ysolde is essentially Magnolia in another font & Joah just a word behaved BJ.

The obvious nods to Oasis I did also find a little cringe at times

I actually think I liked this.  Look, it definitely wasn't bad.  It started out bad because I feel like it should've been made clear up front that this is Magnolia Parks/BJ fanfiction where MP is a supermodel in the 90's and BJ is Liam Gallagher from Oasis.  Once I figured that out and came to terms with it, it was sort of fun.  I will say, I dont really buy the relationship between Ysolde and Joah.  I don't know why they're together beyond just immediate attraction and I don't get the feel for any real emotional connection.  I only started enjoying the book when it became clear that there may be other love interests that are endgame... No spoilers, but there is one in particular I really liked.
