A pretty cute story story about the adventures of a lost dog. More fun than Ann M. Martin's A Dog's Life. Not as deep as Because of Winn-Dixie.

One unintentionally hilarious thing about this book is that everyone calls hot dogs "weenies."

I'm fairly certain I read Henry & Ribsy as a kid, but this was my first jaunt into the larger catalog of Henry Huggins. It was just lovely. Ribsy had a grand adventure. Plus, it's just quaint af.

Reading this at bedtime with my daughter was lovely.

Giving Mitch & Amy a try next.

Cute story about Henry Huggins' dog Ribsy. The narrator, Neil Patrick Harris did an excellent job of projecting the different characters. Would listen to this narrator for other books.

Beverly Clearly's books are timeless.

The story follows a dog named Ribsy who got lost and is now finding his way back home to his owner, Henry. My favorite part of the book would be the one where Ribsy stayed with the Dingleys.

Read aloud to the beasts age 9, 9 & 7. Remembered loving this one. As an adult the missing dog plot line caused me a small amount of anxiety.

Lost pet stories are incredibly stressful for me, so this one is not my favorite.

This is a really cute story about a dog who gets separated from his owner (a young boy) and tries to make his way back to him. It details all the people he meets along the way and the crazy situations he gets himself into, and it's mostly told from the dog's perspective.

My favorite part was when he accidentally goes home with the wrong family, which has four young girls, and they try to give him a bath. The dialogue was incredibly realistic!

There were a few parts here and there that could have been slightly condensed, but overall this was a fun read that my 6- and 8-year-old nieces really enjoyed!

How can I give a children's book 5 stars? Because for a children's book it deserves 5 stars! I read this book at least half a dozen times the summer between 1st and 2nd grade. I hadn't yet discovered the library and it was the only book I owned. I enjoyed it everytime, though!
