I'm a bit conflicted, about this book and about the trilogy as a whole.
The first book, altough some struggle, I ended up enjoying it. The second book I loved first time I read it, but after the reread I had to change the rating from 4,5 to 3 stars. Which is sad because I really loved it first read. But during the reread, so difficult to connect to the characters and it was very much a second book/middle book.
Now for Mirrored Heavens. Took me almost half the book to get into. The plot is trudging. I do love that Xiala's powers were used to their potential in this one. I so wish I got to see more of it. There's also way too many POV characters. And not all of them felt necessary. Six POV characters. They were all readable except for Balam. He was the one I skimmed the most on. He was not fun to read from and just bored me.
The ending left me feeling both satisfied and also very underwhelmed and one thing was bit disappointing.

I think I would have enjoyed this more if I could remember what happened in the first two. No fault of the author's!
