A worthy conclusion to a stunning trilogy.

4.5 stars rounded up.

What a freaking epic, thrilling, action-packed conclusion to a trilogy.
That was really quite satisfying, thank you very much! RTC.

I can’t wait for StoryGraph to add their pause feature! I started this in October (immediately after the first two books), got bored and paused while I went on holiday for a month, and I forced myself to return to it several days ago (December).

Anyway. I’m not even sure how to rate this book. This series. Maybe it’s because I listened to it vs read the physical book, and that particular format made it more difficult for me to follow at times? Who knows. Whatever it is, getting through this book/series was a massive struggle. I had a really difficult time connecting to the characters by the end, and a huge part of me just didn’t even care anymore. There were moments throughout that I really enjoyed the plot and story — I think Belam’s parts were the most disconnecting for me. Xiala’s storyline definitely moved me the most.

I cared about every single character in this book, and the events shattered me. This series reminded me that fantasy books can be both expansive and intimate.

What a great finale for the Between Earth and Sky trilogy, of course no matter how it ended I was going to be sad finishing it. Mirrored Heavens is a step up from the last book in every way, nearly 600 pages didn't feel long enough for these characters story coming to an end. These characters are not the same ones we started with, this war between the Crow God and the Sun God has scarred and changed these characters for better or for worse. Xiala and Serapio once again, steal the show for me I adore them. Their reunion was everything I needed. Xiala recognizes and fears how different she has become; she's not the same person Serapio fell in love with but he isn't the same either. I wish Naranpas story was given a little bit more. Naranpa has a fantastic set up of running away from Tova and begins her training as a dreamwalker but I felt it was a little underutilized in the entirety of the war. I did enjoy learning more about the past and the set up of Serapios fate; his mother and her close circle  sacrificed his own future and choices for the sake of revenge. AHH, I love this story and its so underrated. An indigenous fantasy with unmerciful gods, unwilling avatars, mermaids that can kill with a single note, and blood magic. What more could you ask for ?
4.25 stars to a great end for this fantastical trilogy.
