This book, like many biographical works, oozes with adoration for its subject. I appreciated how it was less play-by-play and more thematic commentary. The analysis didn’t feel particularly groundbreaking, but it takes particular care to connect Streisand, her self-image, and her public perception to broader themes of antisemitism and misogyny.
