This book is overhyped. It is cool and fun and its own way but it relies way too heavily on teenage angst and hormones. I know the internet loves min because he’s a shadow daddy and he’s fine but not great. Idk I keep wanting romantacy to be a good love story and a good plot. It’s often a dramatic and crude love story and this is no exception.

ok honestly this wasn't that bad! i enjoyed the nostalgia of it all as it is the love child of every single YA fantasy/dystopian book i ever read in high school. almost charmingly predictable, but man it got old fast. hovering between 2 and 3 stars.

I resisted reading this book for a really long time. My daughter all but bullied me into reading it. All I can say is WOW. JUST WOW. Read this book!
