Read it while listening to the graphic audio. Made me laugh and made me cry. Tairn’s voice actor is iconic.
Very on par with your typical young adult dystopian genre. Could see it being made into a movie, riveting and suspenseful - lots of action and plot so it keeps you engaged.

Honestly, the 4 stars are just for Tairn. The writing is terrible. It doesn't read like a fantasy at all. Altogether; great ideas, just really bad execution. I wasn't at all invested in the romance. The dialogue was a cringe-fest, and the side characters weren't all that interesting.
I think the consensus (in the good and bad reviews) is that the dragons were the best part of the book.
I'll keep reading, but I'm hoping the characters will act more mature, the writing will improve, and we get more dragon history in the next books. Like A LOT more dragon history.

I liked it for what it is. Its fun and does capture you. There are times where you roll your eyes, but you just have to remember why youre here and get off your high horse
