I loved the horror in this book, I suppose my only complaint is that I could have gone for more time getting to know the characters. It’s still very good as is but sometimes it’s hard to keep track of all of the different characters.

I loved this book. I never thought a horror would ever be my comfort read, but I found this book almost fluffy.

I'm a fan of The Magnus Archives, I love the story, I love the characters, I love how Jonny portrays the different perspectives of the characters and mostly I love interconnected anthologies. This book has all of those. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it's very heavy-handed about the message it's trying to give and I found the climax to be underwhelming, even though everything leading up to it was great.

Horror is not typically my thing but I love this brand of horror. Being a Magnus Archive’s fan, it was especially fun to read as I could hear everything in Jonny’s voice.

It’s a bit slow to start and often confusing but the ending and the message are well worth it.
