I really enjoy the authors work on The Magnus Archives, which in my opinion is a faster pace than this book.

The story is good and maybe it was the audio performances that made it difficult for me to listen to.

I enjoyed the story as an Allegory. I don't know that I'd read it again but I did enjoy it and I would recommend it to others.

this book was a slow start but as more mystery piled in, the more intriguing it was. the end was horrifying, constructed beautifully and was very satisfying. 10/10, will be mildly traumatized for the rest of the day.

Excellent debut novel by Jonathan Sims! I loved The Magnus Archives, and thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I did feel that the end went a little fast for how much of a build-up there was to the climax. But I found it very enjoyable, and can't wait for more from him!

I almost DNFd this book twice, it wasn't what I expected at all from the synopsis. I'm still not 100% on the rating because I keep flip flopping between this being fairly slow and hard to get into and it intriguing me. This book is quite gory at times and as I was expecting a standard thriller this took me by suprise, it's way more of a horror. I think horror fans would eat this up.
