Wow, the 20 chapter rewrite is AWFUL. The original story was so much better. I'm not even sure why they changed it. It wasn't racist or derogatory. Sure, a bit weird to win a piece of land in Canada from a radio station, but it sure made a lot more sense than Nancy chasing after 300 year old physical clues on Indian burial sites. So bizarre.

Loved the 25 chapter version. Curious to see how the 20 chapter version is because I've heard it's quite different.

This is a decent premise, but the execution feels a bit off, as if all we wanted out of a mystery book were kidnappings and threatening letters.

An exciting and fun Nancy read. I loved the treasure hunt and archeological dig subplot.

i'm not usually nitpick-y about nancy drew books but like really it's from 300 years ago and all the clues are still there? please

ALSO clem was right about how disrespectful it is to dig up people's bodies like that and it's just never addressed again like at least this stuff is going to a museum, but like. that's not where it's SUPPOSED to be, it's supposed to stay in the ground along with the dead, like...none of it was being handled in a respectful manner i hate it

Oh Nancy! You are clever, brave, and you rock a smart pant suit. Whenever I need a lift picking up a Nancy Drew mystery is all I need. This mystery is set in southern Illinois, my old stomping ground, around the prehistoric Native American mounds, my old career and continued passion. So fun!!

Distinct lack of racism toward indigenous peoples was nice. Fun mystery

I love when the story features the whole gang PLUS a new slate of friends. ❤️

I gotta admit, I still love Nancy Drew to death. These books are always entertaining and the mystery engaging. I want to be Nancy Drew.
