My favorite Judith McNaught!
emotional funny hopeful lighthearted reflective medium-paced

~3.5-3.75 stars~

If the ending wasn’t so abrupt and unfulfilling,I would have enjoyed this book a bit more, dammit.

The romance between the love interests was so heart-melting at times which I thoroughly loved.I loved Alexandra(h) A LOT but sometimes she was kinda annoying.Im bittersweet about Jordan(H) because hey listen Jordan yes you, sir, have a lot to work on your trust issues. And I think buddy had a lot of groveling to do too for the things he messed up for but,,,,he didn’t do much in that area.Disappointing.

Mom's original copy, which we all wore out and I replaced with the flower-cover paperbacks.

Lovely!

Another arrogant Hero.
He is well known as a ladies man.
He denies being intimate with anyone after their marriage.
HEA.

I’ve read this book several times but it has been several years since my last reread. I’ve become a bit more jaded and unimpressed by all the new releases that many people favor. There are only certain authors and books that really deserve 5 stars from me. I needed to remind myself that this book was written in 1988 so some small parts haven’t aged well but the emotion and story are still as strong and compelling as I remembered. Judith McNaught is still one of my favorite authors of all time and her historical romances without a doubt are still my favorite. When I read her work, I am so captivated it’s all I can think about, I want to get back to reading, I can’t put the book down, I lose all sense of time.

My favorite Judith McNaught book of all ... I read it when I was in high school and the story of Alexandra and Jordan still makes my heart all a flutter!

Judith McNaught needs to write more historical romances!!! her HR stories are always so endearing AND emotionally intense, things I never found in her contemporary romances.
