It's mostly nonsensical, but idk, if you go into a book called 'The Kiss Curse', expecting a well thought out magic system, that's kind of on you?

The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling is the second installment in the Ex Hex series. Like book one, it's a light and silly Halloween/Autumn read.

I enjoyed the return to Graves Glen, the Penhallow/Jones feud, and Sir Purrcival. I also really enjoyed the addition of the baby witches.

The book is really light on suspense and more silly than spooky. Everyone is likeable, and the settings are cozy. There are some loose ends that fail to get tied, and there are others that get tied in what feels like a rush.

Still, it's a cozy quick read that is perfect for Autumn.

This was really fun. I enjoyed the Ex Hex so I knew I would like this one, and my favourite parts translated across - the gorgeous Penhallow boys, the lovely setting of Graves Glen, and the sizzling romance and sex scenes. I might’ve enjoyed this book more than the last? I also enjoyed that I didn’t quite work out the mystery sub plot until it hit all at once. For what it is - a fun little autumn romance - it’s honestly perfect!

I’m not entirely sure I’ll read the third book as I’ve seen it’s not set in Graves Glen and the reviews seem a bit mixed, so I’m happy to leave this one here I think!

I'm loving the continuation of the is story, especially
how freaking evil Simon turned out to be?!
I'm really looking forward to finding out what happens in book 3.
