Oh my God! What a hell of a ride and what an ending! I'm so glad that the next book in this series is being released soon, because seriously, how are people dealing with these kind of cliffhangers? I fell in love with those guys, okay? You can't leave me hanging like this! (Pun intended. I know. Too soon. Not funny.)
The first book was already a really amazing surprise, but the second book was just as good, and that is a rarity. From the very start the story was exciting and the pace was fast, but not too fast. I liked that one of the big reveals was done in the first book so we could now enjoy the aftermath of it. Our heroine could spend some time with all three princes and I realised that just like the heroine I fell in love with all three of them. I really hope they figure their shit out and she can have all three of them. We know it's possible, cultural wise, so I'm rooting for it!
The writing style of this book is really nice too. I love how easy it reads and how naturally it flows. Sometimes the phrases used feel very modern, but it's a fantasy world so the author can create that society however she wants and it didn't really bother me. Actually, it made the world and the characters feel a little closer to me and I really enjoyed it.
And even though the big reveal of this book wasn't much of a surprise (I mean, we all saw it coming from miles away, did we?), I still raced through the book because the plot was gripping and made that I just wanted to keep on reading and reading. I just had to know what would happen next and next and next. And I'm left with that feeling since the book ends with a huge cliffhanger (pun intended once more, still not funny).
I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!

YAY IT IS HERE!
Man, I love Tate James. I have been waiting for Seeker to come out so I could dive into it. I hate cliffhangers.. and then waiting for the next book to come out. It ages me.
Okay, not going to lie.. this series is starting to get predictable now. Maybe it's because I was so in love with Kit Davenport series that this just seems to follow the same-ish pattern? I don't know if that really makes sense.. but it's early and I need coffee. Now that doesn't mean I'm not enjoying the shit out of this series, because I am. I love the characters and the little twists and turns.. but I'm not getting shocked or anything. I'm just like.. been there, seen that. Next!
Other than that, I still hate cliffhangers and Tate always delivers them! Now it's another waiting game because I really need the next book :(

Review for the whole series: an interesting take on a royal disguise, hidden heir, Hunger Games plot. NOTE: The whole series is available on KU for free under "The Royal Trials: Complete Series".
Book 2 was my least favorite of the series, but at least it was fast-paced.

Oh my Cliffhanger!
Wowsers, just wowsers! Not only do we truly find out who Calla... Lo... Luna... Ry IS (which, come on... we all already knew) we see the startling progression of her relationships with the princes and the hands behind the devastation in the kingdom. And as for those relationships? Holy emotion!! An RH that portrays jealousy! It’s real - and it happens here, thank god.
Pros:
- Well written!
- Unique Plot.
- Steps away from the predictability of Book 1 and veers to more original ground.
- Big reveal is well handled.
- More questions!
- Cliffhanger will wreck you.
Cons:
- Minor editing issues.
- Felt short.

I am really enjoying this series. I like the characters and storyline. The cliff hanger was a little much for me, but I will definitely be continuing the series.
