I cried all the way through this picture book. It's so sweet, and such a powerful story about animal friendship and the courage of human rescue personnel in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Although the book has a happy ending, I couldn't stop crying- thinking of what these two went through and the power of friendship and love.

Sweet story about a dog and cat stranded during Hurricane Katrina. Of course what actually happened to these two can't be known, so the story is fiction for that part, but it's really sweet and has a happy ending--my favorite kind of animal story! The illustrations are beautiful too.

Heartwarming story of two pets left alone during the Katrina evacuation who managed to survive and find a new, loving home. An engaging story that conveys the animals dangers and struggles in an age-appropirate fashion for elementary school kids. Illustrations are in a quality classic-realistic style.

Great for kids who love animals.

If you are an animal love, watch out! This book will make you cry, but by the end they are happy tears.

I have to confess...I'm not an animal lover...but I loved this book about two friends who happen to be animals and who support each other during what is probably the worst natural disaster this country has ever survived. Lovely, inspiring story.
