the book was bad. don't trust Booktok. Honestly, I had fun reading it, for sure a comfort read however, I don't recommend you spend your money on it. if you already have the book I say go for it, cause I did enjoy it i just felt it was predictable and rushed, furthermore it was still cute.
I will say I hate the ending, the whole point was that Stassie didn't want to have a baby, it felt like the writer forgot they even put that part in. She wanted to adopt and made that clear with Nate

its like one of those mid books you just have to read. like seriously, I loved every second of this book and when I set it down I was like, wow I wasted three days of my like and don't mind.

I LOVED the side characters in this book. Especially the hockey team. The only thing that made me want to keep reading was those characters. The main character was unlikeable, and how she blatantly ignored all concerns from everyone around her about her abusive partnership drove me nuts. She constantly claimed to be self aware but never actually acted accordingly. I loved the love interest, but he definitely settled. It also wasn't really an enemies to lovers because they got together so quickly. Also WHY did she need to nearly drown. It didn’t feel relevant for needed in the story whatsoever

This book reads a lot like PWP for stretches at a time, but then the plot sneaks in and it’s actually a good book. Not a lot of college sports romance books take on disordered eating, toxic friendships, adoptee/adopted parent expectation dynamics, and sports leadership without toxic masculinity. I’m tempted to give this 4 stars, but it’s not quite my vibe with that much college binge drinking.

It was a great book. It was relatable. The only part I didn't like is how in the epilogue she is pregnant only like 2 years after the book ends. I wish we could have seen more of her professional skating.

Now this was a fun read. It's very cheesy, but that's what a book like this should be I think. There were a lot of moments that I did genuinely find funny. But also you cannot just put "definitely written by a woman" about your MMC in your book... come on now.

Also I think I'm giving this 3.5 instead of 4 simply because I could have done without the epilogue pregnancy but that's just me

I am not the type of person to re-read books; I would rather just read a new one, BUT I had to re-read this one! One hundred percent reccomend this book for anyone in a reading slump.
