2.5 stars.
Liked the characters. Liked the concept.
The writing just wasn’t for me.
I thought the two main characters needed a tad more chemistry. But was still rooting for them.
Thought a lot of it was repetitive though.
And I guessed who the stalker was and why he was doing it. It felt kinda obvious. Especially since Audrey mentioned how distant the father was and how her parents never showed affection multiple times. And Hayden was cool unless Audrey was at the bar then he was angry for no reason.
And honestly, the one thing that absolutely bothered me the most… the author had Audrey use an analogy and Josiah replied, ‘good alliteration.” Simile, metaphor, analogy… similar enough that I wouldn’t have thought twice but alliteration?
Idk why I feel so strongly about this but that one mistake just ruined the whole thing for me.
