i have to start this off by saying that claire kingsley was pretty much my introduction to small town romance, and the bailey brothers-series is one of my favorite comfort series of all time. i jumped into this with pretty high expectations because of how much i loved her other books, and i was definitely not disappointed. this book was full of the hilarious small town rumors that might be familiar to you if you've read about the bailey's, and i also loved seeing grace and asher bailey again. this was a classic grumpy/sunshine romance, and i felt like audrey and josaiah complemented each other so well.

i cannot express how much i love this town, and i'm so excited for the rest of this series! it's gonna be nice to see the haven brothers finding their happily ever afters as well.

thank you for the arc

This book was amazing to me! From the way Josiah protected and loved Audrey to the suspense behind who is stalking Audrey this book was everything I wanted it to be. I cried, I laughed, and I stood by Josiahs love for Audrey 100% of the time.

I’ve been eager to get to know the Haven brothers ever since reading the Bailey brothers series and let me tell you, it achieved my expectations! I loved Josiah and Audrey’s journey through their relationship and how she got him to open up! I’ll admit it was slow in the beginning but picked up quickly and I loved the mystery of it as well! I can’t wait for the rest of the Haven brothers!

I’m already Obsessed with the series!! I’ve been looking forward to the Havens series for quite some time and it did not disappoint! This small town series featuring Mr Grump (aka Josiah) and Ms Sunshine (aka Audrey) will have you ready to cozy up in your flannels and hang out with your dog. Definitely a 5 star read

i definitely enjoyed it but it was a little too insta love for me. also i found some of the dialogue kind of off-putting, it just felt too comical for the scenes being written, and the mystery element was underwhelming.

4 Stars!

Tropes: Small town, Grumpy/Sunshine, Suspense (stalker)

Triggers: Stalker threats, Slight violence

Liked: I loved the added stalker suspense to this small town romance! Plus the lack of third act break up was so refreshing too! Small town romances are among my favourite tropes, the whole community spirit is so great to read. Plus then add in a grumpy lumberjack mountain man and I’m a happy bunny!

Disliked: Not sure why but Josiah and Audrey’s chemistry just felt a bit luke warm to me. I absolutely love a stoic grump, but maybe Audrey was a bit too sunshine for me? So blasé about the whole stalker thing. I didn’t get the fiery passion between them like I thought I would.

OW/OM: h’s high school ex tries to flirt, she has none of it. H’s auntie tries to set him up with OW who flirts, but he isn’t interested.

I can’t wait to see whose book is next! And definitely want to find out more about the allusive brother!

I really liked Josiah  and Audrey. And max.

Obsessed. Audrey is back in her hometown, trying to figure out what her life looks like now, and Josiah keeps showing up just in time to save her.Josiah is the sweetest grump. My favorite kind of hero. The more time these two spend together, the more they fall, and I fell right along with them! I didn’t see some of the twists coming, and I was SHOOK, but I loved every second. I cannot wait for more of the Haven brothers!!
