I've actually only read 2 and a half of the plays, put this literally hit so hard I'll stopping for my mental health. Euripides is intensely focused on the futility of life and inevitably of death and boy can I not handle this right now

A unique and masterful look at 4 plays by Euripides. Carson does not accept our presumptions and insecurities, she simply destroys with them with clear yet somehow also deep and complexly mysterious prefaces which leave one thinking and with her translations which have depth without losing the original Greek.
