1/5/24 reread: This is really THE kagehina soulmatism volume…you just cannot outdo the doers. It’s still wild to me that we never get the final look into Kageyama’s character until the second to last volume—and even more so that I never knew til I was reading it that there was a missing puzzle piece to be found all along—but this volume is such a beautiful full circle on Kageyama’s “king of the court” title & and culmination of everything that’s been built by Hinata crashing into Kagayema’s life, Hinata’s final “I’m here,” and Kageyama articulating that he doesn’t feel alone playing volleyball anymore; he finally found that “someone stronger.” Also can’t neglect complimenting my man Atsumu eating up the rest of the court with his serves (he does know how to /serve/ after all ✨)
