This was a wild ride. Niko was like an unhinged, hyper golden retriever. Bran, my sweet cinnamon roll. Opposites attract but it was good. Bran’s story broke my heart, but I’m glad they got their HEA. Love that their siblings are dating as well.

How do I even begin to sing the praises of this book. From Nikolai's unhinged behavior, to Brandon's struggle with his own personal demons, this story shattered my heart and pieced it back together with gold. Did I read any of the other books in this series? No. Do I feel like I missed out reading God of Fury first? Also no. This installment of the Legacy of Gods series took obsession to a new level. The passion and heartbreak in the duet performances from Teddy Hamilton and Shane East are some of the best I have ever heard. I was literally sobbing in my car. The surprise humanity in both main characters took this dark romance to my top 10 books of the year.
