This book presents two oddly understandable characters who, over the course of their long marriage, grew apart.

Alessandra was an enjoyable character to read about as her journey to re-discover herself was full of the awkward, humbling, challenging, funny, and rewarding experiences people often deal with in their everyday life. It was lovely to see her evolve throughout the book to the point where her happiness was palpable and contagious. What I think can't be let passed by however, is that Dom wasn't the only toxic person in their marriage, Alessandra also was as for a while she was just lettig all of it build up until she exploded and filed for divorce. That I think was another quite realistic part of this book

Dominic was without a doubt frustrating to read about at the beginning of the book, but his dedication to better himself and point out where he went wrong was refreshing to read. What was even better to read about was him finding contentment in his life, whether it was at his job, with Ále, or with himself, seeing him finally be at peace with his current life was the closure the book needed.

The side characters were phenomenal in this book, like Dante and Kai knocking some sense into Dominic, Sloane and her perpetual avail, Vivian and Isabella's never-ending support, or Marcelo's hilarious appearances. Roman's character was also quite interesting and I can't wait to see if he'll be mentioned in other books.

The cameos were everything. Are sure it's JUST a work dinner Sloane??? And Viv and Dante's daughter!!

Overall a very enjoyable read, however I did find it a bit short, I'm very excited for King of Sloth as that one is a book I simply CANNOT wait for. I adore Sloane and Xavier seems like a very entertaining character, as well as very different from other mmc from Ana Huang. Their dynamic is one I'm very intrigued to read about.

Another good installment in the Kings of Sin series. I thought this second chance romance was done well. I do wish there was a little more groveling. Also if a girl says she needs some space she needs SPACE. This book did pull on the heart strings.

I thought the flashbacks to their relationship over the years was done well. The moments weren't long where you got bored but snippets to get to the point.

this one HURT, and i knew it would since it was a marriage-in-crisis, second chance romance and the tension between alé and dom in the first two books was off the charts. this had me feeling all the emotions and i just wanted to hug them both several times. i think dante&vivian are still my favorite of the series so far (there little cameos in this, especially towards the end had me sooooo freaking happy!!), alessandra and dominic are a very close second.

⚠️: gun violence, violence, child abuse, blood, death, pregnancy (SC, epilogue), abandonment

I was so excited for this couple's story based on the few teasing lines in the previous entry in the series, but that all went to hell with this book. I get why flashbacks may be necessary in a second chance romance, but there were so many at the beginning of this book that I lost interest precisely the moment I should've been invested. This book really cooled my interest in the series. I'm not particularly interested in any of the characters except
Dominic's brother, Roman
and another wedding guest whose name I can't remember.

Loved the dual POV and flashbacks showing Alessandra and Dom's past. Not usually a fan of second chances romance but I got it, just wish Alessandra had shown a bit more restraint or the character development had been better to show Dom's character more. It felt like we scratched the surface. The cameos from other series are always fun! An easy breezy read.

This is Ana Huang’s best work yet!! I was immediately emotionally invested with Alessandra and Dominic. You could feel the devastating heartbreak despite the deep love alongside the characters. Ana does an excellent job of writing the story in a way readers can feel connected even if they have not experienced something similar. I made the mistake of reading this on a flight and almost cried over 5 times! Dominic’s commitment to winning back Alessandra was swoon worthy. He really listened and let his actions show he had changed. I absolutely loved this book and need everyone to read it (it can be read as a standalone). This book is perfect for fans of Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan.
