I was so excited for this couple's story based on the few teasing lines in the previous entry in the series, but that all went to hell with this book. I get why flashbacks may be necessary in a second chance romance, but there were so many at the beginning of this book that I lost interest precisely the moment I should've been invested. This book really cooled my interest in the series. I'm not particularly interested in any of the characters except
Dominic's brother, Roman
and another wedding guest whose name I can't remember.

People are upset that Dom wasn’t groveling as much but to me it was the perfect amount plus I love seeing a man so in love with his wife that he can’t live his life once she leaves. He went out with his brother, Roman, who tried to kill Dom for trying to buy a bank, and drunk his sorrows away all because Ále lied to Dom that she would be on a date just so she won’t get back with him. If I was Ále the second Dom send me the thousands flowers I would’ve gotten back with him. IM WEAK COMPARED TO ÁLE!!! Dom even went to Brazil just cause Dante let it slip that Ále was going there and no one knows when she would come back. I also didn’t mind reading Ále becoming her own person after the divorce cause it shows the side of relationships where the person loses themselves in order for their partner to shine and it was amazing I loved reading it I didn’t even care if Dom wasn’t in the chapter I was genuinely enjoying this story. I loved reading small memories like their first date, their first meeting, etc. I loved every moment I sobbed reading them. I cried reading Dom’s backstory and why he became a work alcoholic but I loved seeing him change just for Ále. I LOVED IT!!!! I also enjoyed reading about Dominic’s dyslexia and how Ále handle it cause her little brother is the same as Dom and instead of judging him she helped Dom pass his English class so he can graduate it was a cute scene.

The spice scenes. What can I say about them? Steamy. Hot. Blushing worthy. Thank god I read this at home cause I would be red like a tomato if I read this out and about. Dominic is a hot sexy man who has a dirty mouth but still begged for Ále to stay with him, even let him take her out on a date, or even asking Ále to let him pursue her again it was EXCELLENT!!! I loved King of Greed more than King of Pride I haven’t read King of Wrath yet but I plan on doing so.

I would recommend this book to people, yes, I’ll cry doing so if I’m being honest. PLEASE READ THE BOOK!!!!!! The only thing I am disappointed about was the ending for Roman we don’t know what happened to him after the contract was leaked and I wished to know but overall I love this book too much to even take a quarter point off the rating.

This is Ana Huang’s best work yet!! I was immediately emotionally invested with Alessandra and Dominic. You could feel the devastating heartbreak despite the deep love alongside the characters. Ana does an excellent job of writing the story in a way readers can feel connected even if they have not experienced something similar. I made the mistake of reading this on a flight and almost cried over 5 times! Dominic’s commitment to winning back Alessandra was swoon worthy. He really listened and let his actions show he had changed. I absolutely loved this book and need everyone to read it (it can be read as a standalone). This book is perfect for fans of Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan.

King of Greed it's not just a book about how two people reconnect, but also about forgiveness, love, and how they heal each other heart.

I loved this book and how different it is from the others written by Ana.

We are used to big grovel from other books written by her, but Dominic's is totally different. He doesn't have to make big gestures to win her back, but small gestures matter. It's like you have everything (money, house, etc.), but the only things you don't have are happiness, love and affection.

I really loved how Ana portrayed Alessandra's pain, as well as Dom's. In some chapters it is described so beautifully and deeply that you as a reader begin to feel what the characters feel at that moment. And when everything becomes too much it is normal for tears to appear.

I would like to tell you more, but after reading this review, I just want you to leave with certain things:
 1. sometimes you have to lose someone to realize that you can't live without that person
 2. sometimes it's the little things that matter
 3. this book is not only a love story but also a lesson from which we must learn
 4. Alessandra and Dom have to rediscover each other in order to have a new stable relationship and the road is long and painful

Thank you Ana Huang for this opportunity to read this beautiful book in exchange for an honest review.

King of Greed is the third book in the Kings of Sin series. Dominic and Alessandra’s story of second chance romance was heartbreaking, romantic, sexy, and inspiring. Another winner from Ana Huang!

By the way, let’s hope that Roman will be getting his own book soon!

I was promised a grovel book, but all I got was a man throwing a fit because he was forced to face the consequences of his own actions.

Honestly, I feel like Ále and Dom need some time apart—for real, without him “coincidentally” ending up in the same place as her—and both individual and couples therapy to really make their relationship work again. She might’ve learned to put herself first, to stand up for what she wants and needs, but he needs to learn to respect boundaries.

They were divorced for three, maybe four months before starting over, but how much of that time did she really have to herself? He kept sending her messages and gifts, refused to just leave her alone if they wound up in the same public place, and literally followed her to Brazil. Bro went from ignoring her for the better part of a decade to damn near stalking her. That’s a lot of things, but it sure as hell isn’t romantic.

And that reminds me.
“‘I would stalk you if it meant you’d talk to me again.’
‘How romantic.’
‘I’m past romantic, Alessandra. I’m desperate.’”
He’s acting like a child that forgot about their favorite toy and is now throwing a fit because said toy was donated. As if it’s not his own damn fault that he’s in this situation. And it’s aggravating as hell.

All of that aside, there’s something to be said about the fact I read this in a day. I don’t know the last time I did that, or even came close. It might have problems, but damn if it’s not an entertaining read despite them. I’m still cackling about the library scene.

(Although I won’t lie, I’m INCREDIBLY SALTY that there were two weddings in this book and neither of them were for Kai and Isa. They’re the stars of this show and they deserve better.)

Current ranking of the series:
  1. King of Pride (reigns supreme)
  2. King of Greed (is still good)
  3. King of Wrath (go to hell Dante)

Representation:
  • demisexual Brazilian protagonist
  • dyslexic protagonist
  • dyslexic Brazilian side character
  • Filipina-Chinese side character
  • Chinese side characters
