I honestly don’t get the love for these. I mean, granted, this is my first and only Terry Pratchett book, but I’d also heard you didn’t really need to read any of the other ones (and it did seem fairly standalone). It just did very little for me. The humor was never funny, the characters were pretty bland, the plot just felt scattershot, the writing wasn’t gripping — it all just kinda rolled off of my brain. Even at 272 pages, I had considered a DNF cause it just wasn’t landing. Really, it’s because it was only 272 pages that I finished it; had it been much longer… Pratchett is just not for me.

Another great book

Reading discworld for the first time, the writing style is really picking. Love the books so far!! Three more words
