it was so nice to simply enjoy a book in a straightforward, wholehearted way. there were lots of beautiful moments in here that made me think, but mostly i just had fun

For my first Pratchett book this was surprisingly good, and I’m annoyed I didn’t start this series years ago

This book was mostly solid, but it wasn't without its soft spots.

At this point i have read the first 4 Discworld books. I really like the Death characters as he pops up here and there throughout the first 3 books. So I was excited to read a story about the character.

This book had my favorite joke of the 4 books regarding princesses and mattresses.

It was fun book.

I did not anticipate enjoying this so much. This is genuinely funny stuff. Terry did a good job with humor as I did laugh multiple times. The story is fast paced, easy to read, and really fun. I can see why death is such a loved character from this universe. I am sure he will only get better with more time with him as well. I will be reading more Terry Pratchett in the future and DEFINITELY more books with Death.
