Mort, as a character is quite good. Rincewind even gets an appearance! The book seemed a little stale in the middle, but the ending made up for it. Excited to see what RW is up to next book.

Twenty-six years or so ago I read this as the second Discworld book I came across in a tiny Saskatoon library. The first was Feet of Clay, and it was WILD to me. I didn't know that fantasy could be mocked, let alone mocked and loved. And then I read Mort.
A quarter century later, I'm here to tell you that this damn book holds up. It's still funny, wise, and exciting, and even if it is a little smaller than I remember, it is still so, so worthwhile. Here's to Terry Pratchett, once and always!
