It provided something slightly different than the others, and I appreciate the continuation of the series. However, I felt something lacking in the overall book in that it could never standalone, meaning that it was a good fit for the overall series, but the narrative on its own was not particularly strong.

Some truly tense (but also humorous) moments in this one. Glad I've come back to this series.

This book seemed the longest and most involved of the on going Kindred drama. It was also the most sexually written

I still wish L and Draven had more flesh to their story, but I'm happy with the book overall. Reddix sounds interesting. We'll see what the next book brings.

I know these books are fluff - they were perfect for a day I was laid up in bed sick - but they're starting to get too silly even for that. Also the female lead was really terrible at completing her mission - act a little harder, lady! The Big Bad was severely underwhelming.

Starting to bug me that there are no gay people (is it even possible for Kindred to be gay? Seems like some should be considering HOW MANY MALE KINDRED THERE ARE).

Little worldbuilding things are also starting to annoy me. I'm not entirely clear how humans are going to contribute to the Kindred race like the other planets seemingly have done. How does a race that seemingly has zero industry and doesn't *do* much of anything (uh, with the Scourge gone aren't they at peace? What the hell are all these warriors doing all day every day? Training? Office work?)

Also getting more and more annoyed by the "everyone wants to make babies" message. What happened to all these modern, progressive chicks? Only one of them seems to have a job anymore! Two if the cupcake shop has moved up to the ship.

Príbeh super, ale to prostredie a to, čo sa tam dialo... Kurňa, tomu sa hovorí fantázia!
