What the actual f*ck?
1. As much as I love London and i can recognize all landmarks mentioned, all the descriptions and so on are a drag. What was the need!?
2. Sigh... Why do people keep confusing asexual with aromantic? It's literally a quick google search! I'm glad Nate's aroace (saw it coming!), but I'm sad that only the ace label was the only one mentioned even though what he was referring to was literally aromanticism.
3. David's an asshole. Glad everyone's realizing that which I've known for the past 3 books. Also, the relationship drama is another thing that kept this book from being greater. I kind of hate lovesick stevie? Like, girlie pull yourself together.
4. I think Stevie and Izzy should kiss.
5.the murder was fucking disgusting. Like, all murders are. And when you start reading, you already know this case's "murder method", but finding out one of their own friends is the murderer? He literally chucked an axe at two of his friends. Absolutely disgusting. Terrifying. And he just went on with his life, all dandy dandy. No wonder he barely talked about Angela being missing. Kind of expected more tears at the end. I wish we could've gotten to know Rosie and Noel more. the man literally dropped everything he was doing when he heard rosie was in trouble. She shouldn't have said we!! She shouldn't have been so stubborn, this death is so sad. But I just don't like the book.

Another fantastic story in the world of Stevie Bell with another murder mystery to solve.
I enjoyed this as I’m familiar with both the locations of London and Cambridge, it was nice to read and feel the atmosphere around each area. It was fun to read about certain places in each location that I have visited.
There were and few parts where I wanted more but I appreciated the building of anticipation. It was left on…. Not necessarily a cliffhanger but there were some things unresolved and not neatly wrapped up so I’m assuming another book in the series is on the way…..and I will be there to read it.
Very enjoyable and I’d highly recommend these to anyone and everyone.

3.25/5 ✨ Very easy to read, fun London setting, engaging enough to keep me going, but ultimately very random conclusion. Took a long time to get to the heart of the mystery and even then the clues were sparse. Oh, and we all hate David.

I was so excited to see that there's a 5th book in the Truly Devious series. This latest book follows Stevie and her friends as they make their way over to London for a week. While there, Stevie finds herself involved in yet another murder mystery. I really enjoyed the story and that Maureen Johnson lets her characters grow up. Stevie is still herself but we get to see her become more like a teenager getting ready to head off to college.
This was a very fun book and I cannot wait for the sixth installment.
Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC of this book.
