Heavy. The author uses the tenseness after the 2016 election and climate anxiety as a metaphor of sorts for the human condition.

Totally baffled by the love for this one; it felt SO incomplete and like there were fifteen layers of glass between me and the narrator. Somehow we're in her thoughts but completely disconnected, too. Had to push myself to finish this and I just don't know what the point of it was.

Absolutley not my cup of tea. Would not recommend.

This is quite a strange book. At times it’s funny, clever and very relatable, but other times it feels like there’s no plot at all and too many random facts and quotes jumbled together. It’s a little about marriage, family life and addiction; and a lot about climate anxiety and a woman’s daily life, thoughts and acquaintances. Definitely an interesting read, but I always had to convince myself to pick it back up.
